Personal Tech Help

Before you click to buy, you should know that Units of Wendy and Fairy Godmother packages are sold out until April 2, 2012.

Do you need help with WordPress, AWeber, E-Junkie, or web technology in general? Want to make a change to your site, tweak some settings, or add some new functionality?

I can probably help you. And if I can’t, I’ll tell you upfront and do my best to point you to someone who can.

Personal Consultations by the hour

If you would like personalized help with your website, my hourly rate (fondly known as a Unit of Wendy) is $159.

You can book a Unit of Wendy to spend an hour on the phone with me getting training, advice, and real-time tweaks, or send me a description of your issue and have me fix it for you on my own (for instance, if we’ve recently spoken during my Open Office Hour so I already know what your situation is).

Personal Consultations: Fairy Godmother package

If you need more than one Unit of Wendy, I suggest my Fairy Godmother package. For $359, you get two one-hour consultations with me, one week apart, plus an hour of my time fixing, tweaking, and testing.

That’s equivalent to three Units of Wendy, which if purchased separately would cost $477. Additional hours can be added to your package for a custom Fairy Godmother quote if you have a biiiig project or want to have more than two live sessions with me.

I have a very limited number of these packages available.

Free Tech Help

Not quite ready for a Unit of Wendy or a Fairy Godmother package? Check out these freebies:

  1. Check my Free Goodies page to see if I’ve created a free audio or PDF that might help you. I do add new items to that page periodically — if it’s been awhile since you’ve checked, come see if I’ve added something useful to you.
  2. Call me during Open Office Hour (every Thursday from 10am to 11am, Pacific time) at 909-240-7647. I answer the phone on a first-come, first-served basis, and generally do not return phone messages (if you get my voicemail, it means I’m already talking to someone else and I suggest you try back in 10 to 15 minutes).
  3. Search this blog to see if I’ve already written a post that addresses your question. Just type something in the “Search Me!” box in the right-hand sidebar and click the magnifying glass to search. Each search results page only shows four posts, so be sure to click through to older entries if you need to see more.
  4. Submit a question on my Contact page, and I might answer it in a future blog post. This will take awhile, and of course I’ll only choose to cover topics that I feel will help my readers. I won’t use identifying details (like your name or website) unless I have specific permission from you.

Packaged Support

If you need more than the answer to a quick question, I do have some packaged options:

  1. For WordPress training, you can take one of my quarterly WordPress Swimming Lessons webinars for $177. These two-week classes are designed to get WordPress beginners feeling comfortable managing their own websites. (I’m considering an intermediate-level class for Swimming Lessons graduates and not-quite-beginners, but haven’t planned it out yet — if you want to know when this is announced, you can join my Invitation List.)
  2. For AWeber training, Shannon Wilkinson and I co-created a recorded class and ebook called Love Your List, designed to help AWeber beginners get started using AWeber for newsletters, blog broadcasts, and more.
  3. For help with backing up and upgrading your WordPress site, theme, plugins, and database, consider a Website Tune-Up and ongoing Peace of Mind Program. Folks who sign up receive regular backups and upgrades.
